The Osakana Slide 170 is an articulated soft swimbait with a cavity in the head that allows the line to be attached directly to the main treble hook. It is a slow floating lure that becomes a slow sinking lure when used in conjunction with the supplied treble hook. The advantages of this assembly are to increase the natural swimming attraction of the lure, reduce stalling by preventing the predator from leaning on the lure during the fight and to extend the life of the lure by allowing it to slide along the line after separation from the hook at the time of the strike.
